Rykarda Parasol

I have to say the amp was terrific right from the moment we plugged in!
Rykarda Parasol

When I flipped the standby switch and strummed the first chord, I instantly sensed I was playing on a far superior amp than all the amps I had played on the tour. In San Francisco, I play through amps I hand-wire myself, built to my own specifications and tone requirements. The STARK amp I played through in Berlin was comparable to the hand made attention to quality and tone I have grown accustomed to. With the other amps on tour, it was a struggle to find a good tone. With the Stark amp, finding that perfect tube amp tone was effortless. When I play electric guitar, I consider the amp at least half the instrument. I need an amp that is very responsive. It was a pleasure to play the
STARK amp. Having two speakers cabinets added an interesting texture to the tone. One cabinet was a partial open-back which provided more of a Fender style tone, while the extra closed-back cabinet added an interesting low watt British amp tone I've sought out on so many of my favorite records from the early 1970s. The amp is compact so it's very mobile, yet the tone does not suffer at all with this added convenience. It was by far the best amp I played on the tour. I wish I could've had the amp for the entire tour! It would be great to have a chance to spend more time with it and hear how versatile it can be with various wattage settings and overdrive
channel. Even with the limited experience of just one show, it was easy to find a great tone and I sensed it would be an amp that would perform well under many other circumstances and venue sizes.
